ARYA SINGH

Arya is a student at Yale University and was raised in New York City. Born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Arya has been deeply involved in the medical world her entire life, including over 20 trips to the operating room for surgeries and clinical trials. Arya is committed to humanizing medicine, which inspires her academic and career goals. She is majoring in History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health as well as Education. Outside of class, Arya is the President of the Yale Undergraduate Legal Aid Association, the Undergraduate Course Assistant for Health Economics and Public Policy, on the New Haven Commission on Disabilities, and a volunteer at Hole in the Wall Gang Fund. After graduation, Arya hopes to earn a Master’s in Public Health and J.D., and ultimately pursue a career in health policy. Arya also enjoys traveling with her friends and family, swimming and baking with her younger siblings, and having movie nights with her friends.
